These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Krono platform and related services (together, the "Service"), provided by Krono ("we", "us" or "our"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not access or use the Service.

1. Definitions

  • Account: Your unique identifier to access Krono.
  • User / You: The individual or business using the Service.
  • Subscription: Paid access to Krono features beyond the Free Plan.
  • Content: All data, information, invoices, reports or materials uploaded or created within the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a contract under the laws of your jurisdiction to use the Service. You affirm that you have the authority to bind any business you represent.

3. Service Description

Krono provides cloud-based business tools including but not limited to customer management, invoicing, quotes, job cards, reporting, email communications, and document generation. We may enhance, modify, or discontinue features at any time.

4. Account Registration & Security

  • You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information during registration.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials.
  • You agree to notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorized use of your account.

5. Subscription Plans & Payments

  • Krono may offer Free and Paid Subscription plans.
  • Subscription fees are charged in South African Rand (ZAR) or as otherwise communicated. Billing is recurring and continues until cancelled.
  • You authorize us to charge your chosen payment method.
  • Changes to pricing or billing terms may occur; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
  • Refunds are only provided as required by law or expressly stated in a separate refund policy.

6. Usage & Acceptable Conduct

You agree to use the Service in compliance with:

  • applicable laws (including tax and accounting laws);
  • standards of acceptable use (e.g., no fraudulent, harmful, or illegal activity);
  • no attempts to compromise platform security or disrupt service for other users.

7. Data Ownership & Responsibilities

  • You retain ownership of the Content you upload to the Service.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of your data including invoices and financial records.
  • We are not responsible for tax calculation accuracy or legal compliance of your output.

8. Data Protection

We process personal information according to the Krono Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws, including POPIA in South Africa. Your use of the Service constitutes consent to this processing.

9. Intellectual Property Rights

  • Krono retains all rights, title, and interest in the Service and underlying software.
  • You grant us a licence to host, store, and process your Content solely for service delivery.

10. Support & Service Availability

We may provide support, updates, or changes to the Service at our discretion. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Krono and its partners shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
  • Total liability will be limited to the amount you paid to us in the preceding 12 months.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Krono and its officers, employees, and affiliates from claims arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if:

  • you violate these Terms;
  • required by law;
  • upon notice for any reason.

You may terminate your subscription via your account settings — termination does not automatically entitle you to a refund.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Notice of significant changes will be posted on the Service or sent via email. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance.

15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any dispute will be resolved in the applicable courts of South Africa.
